I purchased this item elsewhere and brought it to Costa Rica where the local stoves leave much to be desired in performance. I have retired my stove, and now use this exclusively for stovetop cooking. The temperature controls are accurate and have worked well in maintaining the temperature that I need for keeping soups, broths, sauces, and stews at the right temperature. It boils liquids quicker than my induction stovetop. And for those who are energy and carbon credit conscious, the cast iron burners (heating surfaces) seem to retain sufficient heat for 5-10 minutes that permits me to turn them off quicker.
